Korrawit Tasa - Rising Star Trains in Japan

Korrawit Tasa - Rising Star Trains in Japan

Kirin U19 player Korrawit Tasa has had his debut training session with J2 team JEF United Chiba, following an overnight flight that saw him land in Okinawa at 08:00, accompanied by SCG Muangthong United club director Kan Chanarat.

Travelling straight from the airport, Korrawit joined the training camp after a team breakfast and briefing from head coach Juan Esnáider, a former Argentine national team player from 1995-99 who also had playing experience with legendary teams such as Real Madrid and Juventus.

Esnáider confirms that Korrawit is one rising star that he had been following, and now was glad for the opportunity for the youngster to test with the club. Following settling in at accommodations, Korrawit then traveled to the afternoon training session, that began at 4PM in a chilly and windy 16 degrees celsius.

The training session saw the players split into 3 groups of 6-7, playing against each other. It was a chance for players to show movement off the ball and their game sense. After an hour of training Korrawit showed he had begun to adapt to the new conditions and style of football.

Mr. Chanarat explained however that it will take Korrawit a bit of time to get fully adjusted, not just to the climate, but getting used to the speed of the ball, which is much quicker.

Said Korrawit, "This is just the first day of training, and already I can see the ball is moved about quickly, and it is a fast and strong pace with very little time to think. I also need to adjust to the language, but when the coaches and team speaks English I can understand."

"Football in Japan is very different from Thailand. It is faster. Players compete hard, and there are more tactics at work. I haven't spoken much with the coach, but some players are friendly and welcomed me with a 'hello', and I hope they can use English with me more often!"
