SCG Muangthong United welcomed not just Bangkok Glass F.C. to the season's final match, but football fans from around the world.
At Saturday's match with Bangkok Glass F.C. were Nicholas and Melanie. Visiting Thailand on vacation from Germany, they just had time to squeeze in a MTUTD game. After spending the day on nearby Koh Kret in the Chao Praya River, they hopped in a taxi for the SCG Stadium. "We were very lucky to be able to take in this game," said Nicholas, "It was the only match during our 3 week stay that we could attend." Indeed, immediately following the game, they were back in the taxi and on their way to Suvarnabhumi International Airport and their flight back to Germany. Nicholas commented, "The atmosphere was good, better than expected...". This is high praise from a Borussia Dortmund fan, a club that regularly has over 80,000 fans at the Signal Iduna Park. He's promised to return home with news about SCG Muangthong United and the football scene in Thailand. SCG Muangthong United have a final match to play in 2017 on Wednesday against Chiang Rai United in the Toyota League Cup championship match.
