SCG Muangthong United announce the signing of Junior Negrao to their roster for the 2016 season of the Thai Premier League. Negrao comes to Muangthong United from Oeste in Brazil’s Series ‘B’ division, the second level of professional football.
Negrao is a right footed striker with powerful scoring abilities and game sense and is expected to have a major impact on the club in the 2016 season.
Said Negrao on his signing, “I have no words to describe how happy I am to join this club. I did my research and Muangthong is one of the top clubs in Asia. I am very certain of my choice.”
Negrao, 29 years of age, also commented he is in top physical condition, and with some hard training sessions under his belt will be ready to help Muangthong to the title in 2016.
“I know the top goal scorer in the TPL last season was Brazilian. Next season he will also be Brazilian, but it will be a different guy this time.”
Negrao began training with the club immediately wearing the number ‘9’ jersey, joining the team in their workout at the SCG Stadium following the press conference. With the departure of Mario Gjurovski, Negrao will provide the additional fire power the club needed.
