SCG Muangthong’s U16 squad powered their way to a 4-0 win over the ISB Varsity squad in a controlled and skilled display of football power.

Played at the International School Bangkok, MTUTD dominated possession for most the match, the first goal coming at 16 minutes when a ball from the back line was found by Nong White in the box, who was able to turn and hammer one past the ISB keeper.

The Panthers came close at the 30th minute when striker Michael K's shot forced a save. At the stroke of half time the Panthers almost equalized with a hard shot from ISB’s Ryo, who took a pass from Michael K, but the shot was handled easily by the MTUTD U16 keeper, Nong Diamond.

The second period started strong for MTUTD with a quick goal inside 2 minutes. The half proved the most fruitful for ISB, with the 2 excellent chances. MTUTD made the most of their chances at net, however, and added two more to round out the score.

"I am very happy with the boys today, they followed the game plan perfectly," said Coach Supachart.

The young kirin squad played well and their skill and fitness allowed them to dominate. Two of the MTUTD U16 have recently qualified to join the Bayern Munich Academy system, while another two players are members of Thailand's U15 national team.

"Thank you to ISB team to invite us to play today, it is not very often we get to play an int’l school team like this,” said Coach Supachart following the match.
