THE FAB FOUR
SCG Muangthong United have strengthened the roster for the 2nd leg of the 2015 season by calling up 4 players from the second division teams and the youth system.
Muangthong are one of the few Thai Premier League clubs that operate a professional academy to develop players for the future. Several players on today's first team are products of this system, and now four new young Kirin have been called up.
The four players comprise two defenders and two midfielders, ages 19-21. Three of the players have been with the Muangthong Academy since they were 12 years old. Since finishing with the academy they have been playing in second division teams such as Pattaya United and Samut Songkram FC to gain experience. One of the players came from the Assumption University team.
SCG Muangthong are committed to improving football in Thailand and the academy is a big part of the reason why Thai football is gaining notoriety around the world. Look for these new players to shine in the future and help MTUTD to maintain it’s rank as one of the top teams in the country.
