SCG Muangthong striker Teerasil Dangda led the Thai Premier League AlLL-STARS as the team took on visiting Chelsea FC Sunday night at the Rajamangala Stadium in Bangkok.
Chelsea won the match 1-0 due to a powerful goal from young and upcoming star Dominic Solanke at the 12th minute. Chelsea, who have now flown on to Sydney for their next match, fielded many of their young hopes for the future. Nevertheless, fans were thrilled to see Striker Diego Costa, captain John Terry, and midfielders Eden Hazard and Nemanja Matic.
The Thai ALL-STARS threatened to equalize and came close in the second half, however time ran out before the impressive humidity got the better of the visitors.
SCG Muangthong United are on a long break in action due to the International fixtures, and Thailand will next be taking on Timor Leste in their next phase of the SEA qualification, and FIFA World Cup 2018 in Russia qualifications.
The next match for Muangthong is June 21st, at home, vs. TOT SC.
