Muangthong United have announced the signing of Japanese defender Naoaki Aoyama from J-Leauge club Ventforet Kofu.
"Aoyama is strong in defense and his experience in the J-League will be an asset for us,'' said Muang Thong director Ronnarit Suewaja.
The 28 year old has spent 10 years in Japan's top level J-League, and brings to the squad a formidable central defender. The signing is a strong addition and along with the other new players to the squad will go a long way to helping Muangthong United with their fourth title. The new season will kick-off in mid-February with an away match in Nakon Rathchasima against the Swatcats.
