Muangthong United played out a 0-0 draw with Sisaket on a rainy night at the SCG Stadium.
The first half saw Muangthong controlling the ball well and applying pressure on the Sisaket goal. A couple of key saves and defensive plays kept the ball out of the net, though Milan Bibalo and Cleiton Silva were connecting on several give-and-go plays, and Kasidesh threatened several times to release a threatening shot. Sisaket had chances at the other end, though Kawin was never seriously threatened, though he had to remain awake and punch clear balls in to the box. The second half was also dominated by United, however with shots going off the cross bar twice they were denied. Sisaket worked hard to deny the Muangthong attackers any clear shots, and came close a few times at the United end. The point earned will help Sisaket stay clear of the relegation zone as the other clubs at the bottom of the table either drew or loss their games. Coach Talajic expressed regret at the decision of the Thai F.A. and the sadness felt at playing in a half-empty stadium, "This is not a normal thing for us, we don't deserve this punishment, but we have to follow the decision and I hope it is not the final decision, and I am very sorry for this." Muangthong's next match is against Osotspa M-150 this Wednesday October 29th, at the Rajamongkala National Stadium. Muangthong fans have been banned from attending this fixture. The final game of the season will be next Sunday (Nov. 2) at the SCG Stadium against Bangkok United.
