Muangthong United came from behind to defeat Singhtarua 3-1 in a thrilling finish at the SCG Stadium.

The first half was an even affair with both teams sharing ball possession and chances at goal. Muangthong pressured the Singhtarua defense early on, however it was on a counter attack at the 29th minute that the visitors went ahead 1-0. For the remainder if the half United were to have several chances, and Milan Bubalo threatened to run circles around the Thai Port defense who had to double-up coverage to contain him.

The equalizing goal came at the 64 minute. Bubalo pressured the defense down the left side and drew a foul. The free kick was punched clear by the Thai Port keeper, however before the ball couild be sent downfield Sarach Yuyen stepped forward and struck a beautiful goal into the top left corner.

Just moments later, at the 67th minute, a low corner was flicked on by Wuttichai for United's go ahed goal, and the Muangthong Fans went wild. The momentum was all on United's side, and they dominated the play for the rest of the match. At the 90th minute, Cleition Silva, subbed on and playing with an injured ankle steered a shot into the lower corner to seal the game.

"Today we showed everyone this is Muangthong," said Silva after the match, and Coach Dragan Talajic stated, "I am very proud of these young boys."

United's next match is just a few days away, with a visit to the Royal Thai Army Stadium on Wednesday October 22nd, with an 8 pm kickoff.
