Thailand's National Football Team (U23) compete today with Iraq for the bronze medal spot at the 2014 Asian Games.
The Thai National Team (War Elephants) had a an undefeated record to qualify for the semi-finals, only to lose 2-0 to host nation South Korea. The semi final place means they now play for the bronze with Iraq, who narrowly lost to North Korea 1-0 in extra time.
If the War Elephants are able to defeat Iraq it will be the best result ever for Thailand at the Asian games. The U23 team is ranked 1st in Southeast Asia, and 20th in Asia, though this ranking will improve given the semifinal qualification.
