Who's on fire!

Muangthong United top the list of the five premier teams this season currently experiencing winning streaks. MTUTD have no won three in a row, drawn one, and lost one. Their next match is an away game to Samusongkram, the former team of Coach Pon, the current acting head coach for Muangthong United.

This season in the premier league has seen a spat of new teams reaching the top levels of the Thai Premier League, while former powerhouse and last year's champions Buriram are struggling to re-gain their form. Teams like Singhtara (Thai Port), Chainat, and Ratchaburi, meanwhile, are enjoying record seasons.

MTUTD have done well considering the changes. New foreign players (Jay Bothroyd, Eric Partaalu) and a new coach were added jsut as the season began, and then Coach Pon was appointed as acting head coach. Despite all these disruptions, the team is working together with a good spirit and attitude.

Jay Bothroyd has started to find the goal scoring knack, however he and others have cautioned against being too optimistic, and the importance of focusing on just one game at a time.
