CLEITON SILVA: I am Muangthong!!

July 17, 2015

SCG Muangthong United's next match is this Saturday against Bectero Sasana at the 72nd Anniversary Stadium, 7 PM.

For some players, this will be their first visit, however MTUTD striker Cleiton Silva once called this stadium home. Silva signed with Bectero in 2012 and played two seasons with the club, making 63 apperances and scoring 44 goals. At one point he was the Thai Premier League (TPL) leading goal scorer.

Silva then left Bectero to play with Delfines F.C. in Mexico, but returned to the TPL in 2014 to play for Muangthong United. Since then he has become a regular started for Muangthong, scoring 9 goals in 17 appearances last season, and is currently the club's leading goal scorer with 9 goals in 14 appearances, and this makes him the 2nd highest goal scorer in the league at the moment.

When asked about his time at Bectero and the upcoming match, Silva said "I have respect for Bectero and thank them for supporting me, but now I am Muangthong, and I will do my job for Muangthong."

Match tickects are available Friday at the SCG Stadium until 5PM, and then at the 72nd Anniversary Stadium on Saturday.
